In the wake of the coup in Niger Republic by mutinous soldiers, some politicians were brutally attacked on sight by mobs.

In a video seen by The New Diplomat, a female politician was left unprotected by security and became a target of the enraged mob.

An eyewitness described a harrowing scene of chaos and brutality, highlighting the grave dangers faced by those in positions of authority during such turbulent times.
