The youngest presidential aspirant from the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Nicholas Felix has announced his decision to bow out of the party’s presidential race.

Felix, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Coalition Party in the 2019 election, came third after Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar, said his decision to withdraw from the presidential race was made after due consultations and to support the candidacy of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

He called on his supporters to vote for Osinbajo. According to him, Osinbajo is a believer of youth representation in politics.

With the development, Felix becomes first aspirant to step down for the aspiration of Osinbajo.

Earlier, the New Diplomat had reported that former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Goodswill Akpabio; former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; Governor Badaru of Jigawa State and Senator Ajayi Borroffice, announced their decision to withdraw from the presidential race to support former governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
