A recent report by Resonance, a consultancy group in real estate, tourism, and economic development, has ranked London, United Kingdom as the best city in the world.

In the report, Paris, French capital and New York, United States of America (USA) ranked second and third respectively.

Canada’s largest city, Toronto, for its diversity and immigration leaning, was ranked 18th on the list ahead of Sydney, Australia and Berlin, Germany ranked 19th and 20th respectively.

Meanwhile, not a single city located on the African continent made the cut of 100 world’s best cities for 2021, suggesting African governments need to up the ante on city planning, investment, management and culture to meet up with the standard obtainable elsewhere around the world.

According to the report, the key metrics used in ranking the cities include; Place, People, Programming, Product, Prosperity, and Promotion.

The latest annual ranking also considered each city’s diversity, cultural programming, as well as its response to COVID and ability to rebound.

Based on the city’s performance in the 24 factors analyzed, according to the report, the following are 100 World’s Best Cities for 2021:
