Former director of Media & Publicity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, on Monday, said the new appointment of service chiefs made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is without nepotism.
While reacting to accusations that Tinubu’s appointment is full of favourites, Onanuga in a post on his Twitter handle, said two out of the seven service chiefs are from South-South and South-East regions respectively.
“Chief of Naval Staff Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla is from Igbo Eze North LGA of Enugu State. Chief of Intelligence is from Cross River.”
He noted the origin of the appointees as follows:
1 Mallam Nuhu Ribadu National Security Adviser (North-Adamawa)
2 Maj. Gen. C.G Musa Chief of Defence Staff (North)
3 Maj.Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja Chief of Army Staff (South West)
