All members of staff, of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Capital, have been instructed to resume to work.
The directive is contained in an internal memo from the management of the commission to the Directors Heads of Department/ Units and all staff.

According to the management, the fumigation and decontamination exercise that informed the temporary shutdown of the office complex had been completed, though it added that the testing is still ongoing.

Against this background, the management has ” directed the lifting of the shutdown ordered on May 28th as from 18th June, 2020″
The management asked the staff to be “guided accordingly”

Recall that New Diplomat had reported how the management of the NDDC ordered temporary shutdown of their premises and asked the entire staff to submit to Corona Virus test after the death of their Acting Executive Director on Finance who purportedly died of Corona Virus complications.
