An Airforce trainer aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has crashed in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria.

It was reported that two servicemen –said to be pilots– died in the crash which occurred around Airforce training base in Kaduna.

As at the time of this reporting, details surrounding the crash still remain sketchy.

NAF Director of Public Relations, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet has not responded to enquiries and calls. Also, the military hierarchy was yet to speak on the tragedy as at the time of this reporting.

This latest crash comes close to a year after the former Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru died in a May 2021 NAF Beechcraft B300 King Air 350i crash near Kaduna International Airport.
