Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has mourned the passage of reggae legend, Majek Fashek, describing him as a loyalist and friend of his father, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

The 37-year-old singer in the tribute he shared on his Instagram page also revealed that he used to spend weekends in the home of the ‘Send Down the Rain’ singer.

He wrote; “RIP to the rainmaker himself. I normally do not do this, check my page except I am truly mourning with the family and in this case I am. Majek was a big Fela Loyalist and Friend and I spent many weekends at his house in our neighborhood with his son Randy….”

Seun’s brother, Femi, had on Tuesday paid tribute to the late singer’s whose death had earlier been confirmed by his manager, Omenka Uzoma.

He described him as someone who ‘made great music and brought great vibes.’
