…As Dominant Real Madrid Swats Juventus aside in a 4 :1 Thriller

Cristiano Ronaldo becomes first player to score in three Champions League final.. Claims 4th Champions league winners’ medal

Gigi Buffon and Juventus have now lost four of their last Champions League finals

Tearful Buffon

Gianlugi Buffon on Saturday’s evening lost in his fourth Champions league final’s appearance game, just as Cristiano Ronaldo claims his fourth champions league medal in a one-sided encounter.

A Mario Mandzukic wonder goal was just insignificant in a final dominated by Cristiano Ronaldo as Real Madrid won their 12th European Cup.

The Spanish side opened the scoring through Cristiano Ronaldo, but were pegged back by Mandzukic’s bicycle kick. Real Madrid, however, ran away with the game in the second-half as Casemiro and then Ronaldo ensured Juventus could not get back into the game.

Marco Asensio confirmed the result late on when he scored the fourth to ensure the trophy went to Madrid.

Gonzalo Higuain made the most of a bright start from Juventus, who had Real Madrid on back foot early on, as he glided past two defenders before smashing a shot from 25 yards which Keylor Navas could only fumble away to safety due to its ferocity.

With today’s win, Cristiano Ronaldo’s name is already written into just about every football record book there is.

More goals in Europe’s major leagues than anyone else in history. The first (and thus far only) man to score 100 goals in the Champions League. The Guinness World Record for most liked person on Facebook (true story).

However, with his two-goal, match winning performance in the 2017 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Juventus, the Portuguese superstar has just set a whole new set of landmarks.
