The CMA-CGM vessel carried 411 TEUs or twenty foot equivalent unit of transshipment cargo destined for Cotonou and will depart on July 6, 2023.

The vessels were navigated to the port with the 80-ton bollard pull tug boats recently acquired by for seamless port operations at the Lekki Port corridor.

With the development of new deep seaports in the country, Nigeria is positioned to serve as the maritime logistics hub in the sub-region, taking back transit and transhipment cargoes for the neighbouring landlocked countries.

This further reaffirms the port’s management’s commitment to expanding the frontiers of business and becoming the maritime logistics hub for port services in the subregion.
