Lagos has issued a travel advisory to citizens in the state ahead of the grand finale of the presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for Tuesday.

In the travel advisory, citizens were advised to plan their movement as the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will traverse the state.

The advisory issued by the General Manager, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Bolaji Oreagba on Sunday showed that roads such as Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Maryland, Ikorodu Road (Idi-Iroko, Anthony, Obanikoro, Onipanu, Fadeyi), Jibowu, Empire, Moshalashi, Ojuelegba, Barracks to Stadium will be blocked to allow a procession from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport to the Teslim Balogun Stadium for the grand finale of the rally.

LASTMA in the advisory urged motorists to make use of the following alternative routes during the procession, saying that those coming from local airport to Maryland should use Kodesoh to Obafemi Awolowo Way to link Kudirat Abiola Way (Old Oregun Road) to Ojota to Maryland and connect their destination.

Oreagba added that motorists from local airport to Ketu-Mile 12 should use Kodesoh to Obafemi Awolowo Way to connect Secretariat Road to Mobolaji Johnson Avenue (7-Up) to link Ojota Interchange to Ketu and connect their destination.

“While the procession holds on the Main Carriage Way on Ikorodu Road, the Service Lane will be available for use by the Motorists without any hassle,” he said.

Oreagba added that in order to reduce inconvenience and travel time before and during the procession/rally, motorists moving from Ikorodu to Lagos/Lagos-Ibadan Expresway to Oshodi should use Old Toll Gate to Alapere to Ogudu to link Iyana Oworo then Third Mainland Bridge and connect their destination.

He said motorists from Apapa-Oshodi expressway to Lagos should navigate through OshodiBridge to Anthony Bridge to Gbagada to link Iyana Oworo and then Third Mainland bridge to connect their destination.
