Lagos state on Monday topped the Covid death toll in Nigeria with 15 deaths out of the 23 fatalities recorded in the country.

This figure has taken Lagos death toll to 399, while a total of 1,862 deaths have been recorded nationwide.

The fatality figure–23 is the highest recorded in February till date as compared to 14 deaths recorded on February 5; 20 deaths on February 8 and 21 deaths reported on February 10, 2021.

However, a total number of 152,616 cases have been confirmed and 129,300 cases have been discharged across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

On the other hand, the number of confirmed cases in Nigeria has been on the decrease in the country after it reported 1572 cases on February 16.

On 17 February, it reported (869) cases, (877) on the 18 February, (662) cases on 19 February, (642) cases on 20 and (521) cases were recorded on the 21 February.

Moreover, 542 cases were reported from 21 states on Monday.

193 community recoveries were recorded in Lagos State and 113 in Kwara State.
