The Lagos State Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs, Mrs. Toyin Awoseyi has implored members of the State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board to spread awareness on the new payment scheme for pilgrimage to Jerusalem, tagged, “Pay Small Small (PSS)”.

Awoseyi, who gave the task while receiving members of the Board when they visited her in her office, lauded the new scheme, saying that it would allow intending pilgrims to defray the cost of the pilgrimage to the Holy Land on a convenient basis.

While urging the members to ensure the actualization of the expectation of the State Government as it relates to the mandate of the Board, she implored them to work together as a team and justify the confidence reposed in them.

Responding, the Chairman of the Board, Bishop Sola Ore, expressed happiness at the payment arrangement and gave assurance that members would work hard to achieve the goals of the present administration for the Board.

Recall that the payment policy was recently introduced by the State government to ease the burden of high fares on pilgrims intending to travel to the Holy land.
