Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has averted a looming danger from a gas truck accident at Peter Agha Street Junction by the Memorial Arcade, Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos.

A statement issued by the Deputy Head, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Ogabi Olajide, said “the emergency alert which was reported at 07.00 hours Tuesday, saw the Isolo Fire Crew raised down to rescue the situation of the 8 tonnes Liquidified Petroleum Gas Peddler Truck, which reportedly swerved and skidded off the road causing leakage of the contents.

“The Firefighters, however, deployed copious Chemical Foam Compound to neutralize the atmospheric condition of the area and that of the potency of the gas from causing any secondary incident.

“The lone accident which does not has record of any casualty have been cleared off the road to prevent traffic gridlock in the affected area”.
