Coronavirus cases have surpassed 300 in Lagos state, with the addition of 23 new cases on Saturday.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, reports on Saturday that the confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Lagos is now 306.

This is more than half of the national infection figures, put at 542.Coronavirus

Earlier on Saturday, Lagos discharged four Coronavirus patients who survived the disease, bringing to 94, the total number of patients discharged so far by the state.

Lagos has also recorded 13 death so far, while five patients were evacuated to other countries and Ogun State.

With this development, active Coronavirus cases in Lagos move from 178 to 197 as at 11:40pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Kano has recorded 37confirmed cases of Coronavirus in just one week, according to figures released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Saturday.

Kano State Ministry of Health on its twitter handle said 10 New COVID-19 cases had been confirmed in the state.

It said the total confirmed cases now stood at 37, with one death recorded so far.
