The Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has affirmed Ladi Adebutu as its governorship candidate for the 2019 election.

Sikiru Ogundele, the Ogun PDP Chairman, had earlier stated that Adebutu is the only preferred candidate of the party in the state.

Adebutu was, however, elected as the party’s preferred candidate, after polling a total of 2,369 votes across wards in the state.

In his speech, he thanked all party members for their support, stating that he was glad to be their preferred candidate.

In prolepsis, he acted as an elected Governor, making series of promises ranging from providing adequate electricity, free education (to some extent) to construction of roads.
