The Labour Party is officially set to flag-off its presidential campaign in Lafia, Nasarawa, on October 18.

This was made known by the state chairman of the party in Nasarawa state, Alexander Emmanuel.

Emmanuel, while addressing a press conference on Thursday revealed that arrangements have been concluded for the campaign to kick-off on October 18.

According to him, the party chose Nasarawa for the presidential campaign flag-off due to the people’s support for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Ahmed-Datti.

He commended the party’s supporters across the country for their efforts thus far in canvassing for more support for the Obi/Datti ticket.

In his words, “Just like how other states of the country have been massively supporting the Labour party’s presidential candidate, Nasarawa state was the first to organise a street march in support of the Obi/Datti ticket. And I think that should be the reason the LP’s national leadership chose Nasarawa state for the campaign flag-off on October 18, 2022.”
