French international and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season.

bappe made this known in a video shared on his X account on Friday.

The 25-year-old, after months of speculation about his future at PSG, said he will not extend his contract with the club.

“I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain. I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks,” Mbappe said.

“I will play my last game at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.”

PSG has already secured the Ligue 1 title for the 2023-24 season, marking their tenth league triumph in the past twelve years. They will formally receive the trophy after their final home game against Toulouse FC on Sunday.

It was gathered that Mbappe had privately notified PSG back in February 2024 of his decision not to extend his contract at the end of this season.

While Mbappe has not openly declared his future plans or confirmed his next destination, speculation is rife that the striker is headed to join Real Madrid.

The New Diplomat reports that the football star has scored 240 goals in 291 appearances in all competitions for PSG since his arrival in 2018.
