Pa Mathias Keyamo, the father of the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN) is dead.

The elder Keyamo passed on peacefully at the age of 83.died on Saturday, March 5th in his hometown of Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The minister broke the news of the death of his father in a statement Sunday by his Special Assistant, Media, Mr. Tunde Moshood.

According to the statement, Pa Keyamo was born on August 23rd, 1938 in Erovie Quarters in Effurun and raised in Kaduna and Ilaro, Ogun State where he met and married his wife, Mrs. Caroline Keyamo (nee Ogunjobi).

Moshood said that immediately after the marriage, the couple immediately relocated to Ughelli in Delta State where the children, including Festus were born.

He said that burial details will be announced later by the family.
