Kebbi Assembly on Tuesday has impeached its Speaker Abdulmumeen Kamba and his Deputy, Alhaji Muhammad Buhari-Aleiro.

This announcement was made by the Chairman House Committee on Information and Culture, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur.

Tukur disclosed that the decision was reached after a close-door plenary session which was attended by 20 members of the assembly.

He also announced that the current Deputy Chief Whip, Muhammad Abubakar- Lolo, has been given the nod to become the Speaker while Hon. Muhammad Ankwai would replace the impeached deputy speaker.

The chairman, however, fell short of disclosing the reason for the action of the lawmakers.
