An All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial aspirant in Ekiti State, Engr. Kayode Ojo has expressed condolence to the family of Prof. Babalola  Borishade, for the demise of the elder statesman.

 

In a chat with journalists in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, Ojo described the death of Prof. Borishade as a great loss to people of Ekiti State in particular, the government and Nigeria in general.

 

Engr Ojo who hails from Ikoro Ekiti said the death occurred when the country needs the wealth of experience of the deceased most, urging the family to take solace in the fact that the late Professor lived an exemplary life.

 

The APC chieftain who commiserated with the family and state government prayed that God will give the family     the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, just as he admonished those he left behind to live up to expectation.

 

Late Borishade, an astute Politician who hail from Usi Ekiti was a during his life time a university don’t, minister Education, and later Aviation minister.

 

In another development, Engr Ojo has expressed confidence that whistle-blower policy of President Muhammadu Buhari will uproot the cankerworm of corruption and the Pilfering of Public funds in Nigeria.

 

Ojo said with the quantum of money that had been recovered by EFCC that the country has a lot benefits to derive from the policy.

 

The APC stalwart also called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to wade into cases of alleged judicial compromise in the prolonged incarceration of some APC Chieftains in Ado Ekiti prison.

 

The APC chieftain said Nigerians could now have an insight into how endemic corruption had been in The country with revelation of how many where stocked in illicit areas by some politicians.

 

He said:”EFCC has discovered over N100 Billion illegal funds within the last few months the policy came into effects. The N3 Billion that was traced to former NNPC GMD, Ibrahim Yakubu, and multi billion naira discovered in Ikoyi , Lagos State and many other illicit locations had confirmed that the policy must be domesticated in all the states of the federation.

 

“When the Freedom of information law came into existence, some states of the federation adopted it, because it was good policy, so this policy can’t be an exemption.

 

“The major problem of our nation is corruption. We must support every step taken by President Buhari to fight those that had plunged Nigeria into financial crisis”⁠⁠⁠⁠
