  • Rubbishes DHQ Claims…… Says IPOB a non-violent group

IN THE aftermath of the declaration of the Indigenous People of Biafra as a terrorist group by the Nigerian Military Defence Headquarters, Leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu has refuted the claim saying the group is just harmless freedom fighters that do not bear arms.

This is even as he refuted the claim that IPOB has formed a secret service saying they are “just common vigilantes” formed to protect them against Fulani herdsmen

Speaking during a telephone interview monitored by The New Diplomat, Kanu whose whereabouts has been unknown since the military laid a siege on his home said the IPOB is a harmless freedom fighting group.

Describing the DHQ claims as laughable, Kanu said “from the onset, I have made it clear to the whole world that IPOB is mere non-violent freedom fighters. We do not carry arms, we do not kill rather do we ask people to kill for us.

When he was quizzed on the formation of the Biafra Secret Service, he said the group was just a “common vigilante group”

“They are not Secret Services, they are just mere vigilantes, there is a lot of misconception. They are just there to protect our land from the attacks from Fulani Herdsmen, they are not armed, they do not bear arms” he refuted
