The main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won Council elections conducted in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Saturday, defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP emerged victorious by polling 14,432 votes against APC candidate who suffered defeat with 9.095 votes.

While elections in Kauru and Sanga local government areas of the state were said to have been postponed, election results in Chikun Local government are yet to be announced as it is still being counted as at the time of this report.

Meanwhile, sources informed that the PDP in Chikun was leading in the race as at the time of this report.
