The bill which is a private member bill sponsored by Yusuf Salihu of Kawo Constituency is aimed at developing and nurturing women as well as youth into becoming economically independent persons.
Contributing to the debate, the only female member in the assembly, Comfort Amwe representing Sanga constituency argued that “if the bill is successfully passed into law, it will encourage women to support their homes”.
