A house belonging to O’odua activist, Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho in Ibadan has been razed.

According to one report by Nigerian Tribune, arsonists were suspected to have aimed at the building located in the Soka area of Ibadan.

The fire which started around 3am, early Tuesday, was later put out after the men of Oyo State Fire Service arrived the scene a few hours later.

Igboho, had given a 7-day ultimatum to herders in Ibarapa to leave the area over attacks on locals.

At the expiration of the ultimatum on Friday, he followed through by storming Igangan, a community in Ibarapa to reportedly enforce the order where he addressed thousands of supporters, asking herders to leave.

Amid tension in Oyo, the action has now pitched groups and leaders of thought in the country against one another as many seek a lasting solution to the incessant herders-farmers clashes, triggering insecurity in the country.

Igboho was yet to speak on the incident as of the time of this reporting.

More to come…
