President Muhammadu Buhari met with the newly appointed military service chiefs in Aso Rock, Wednesday, behind closed doors.

The new appointments were made Tuesday after several months of intense pressure on the President to do away with the now retired service chiefs.

At the meeting are Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.

The service chiefs replaced former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin; former Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai; former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas and former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
