The Presidency on Sunday reacted to the emergence of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate ahead of the 2019 elections.

Atiku scored 1532 votes to beat 12 other contestants who had vied for the party’s sole ticket.

The PDP’s National convention chaired by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State held in Port Harcourt between 6th and 7th October 2018.

However, in a swift reaction, Buhari’s Aide on New Media, Lauretta Onochie, while congratulating Atiku, said his emergence has made APC’s job easy.

“Congratulations Alh. Atiku Abubakar. You have outspent the rest. You have a new toy. But believe it, it’s only a dream. Our job made easy.”
