United States President Donald Trump has claimed recovery from the Coronavirus infection.
Trump who tweeted that he would leave the hospital at 6:30 pm US time, said he felt better than he did 20 years ago.
He tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday with his wife, Melania and has been hospitalised since then.
Trump, who is seeking re-election, however said he will be leaving the Walter Reed Medical Centre where he has been receiving treatment any moment from now.
The ebullient President urged Americans not to be afraid of coronavirus, which he has always downplayed since the outbreak of the pandemic that has left no fewer than 200,000 American dead.
He tweeted on his official handle @realDonaldTrump: “I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid.
“Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”
