The remains of former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, were on Sunday laid to rest at his Oluyole Estate residence in Ibadan.

The body of the top Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress arrived Ibadan from Lagos early Sunday and was buried at 10.20 a.m according to Islamic rites.

His burial was only attended by family members with some insiders so as to observe social distance layed by NCDC.

The 70-year-old who died in Lagos has been on life support machine at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos before his final breath.

Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi last week said he died of multiple organ failure arising from his Covid-19 treatment.

Attenndees at the burial include: APC gubernatorial candidate, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Hon Shina Peller, Honourable Saheed Akinade-Fijabi, Representative of Ekiti State governor, Senator Teslim Folarin, Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare and members of 8th Assembly.
