The Federal Government has modified the nationwide curfew in the country to between 12am and 4am.

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, Dr Sani Aliyu, during a briefing at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, Thursday, said the new timing takes effect from 12:00 tonight.

Recall the federal government, following the further easing of the lockdown on June 1, had reviewed the timing to between 10pm and 4am.12am To 4am Nationwide Curfew

The movement restriction was put in place to curtail the virus spread in the country.

Aliyu said, “I will first of all start with general movement. We are modifying the curfew to commence from 12 midnight to 4am nationwide, effective from 12:00 tonight.

“This does not apply to people on essential services and international travellers that might be returning from abroad.”
