Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have apprehended a syndicate believed to be responsible for the alleged manipulation of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS).

The suspects were busted by the police during a sting operation on Ghandji street in the Maitama area of the FCT, as per report by Arise TV.

The police were said to have gotten an intelligence about the activities of the group.

According to reports, one of the suspects arrested is said to be the Vice President of a company known as Emperor technology.

The police have now taken the suspects into custody and are investigating the illegal possession and suspected manipulation of the BVAS.

The New Diplomat earlier reported that several claims bordering on the BVAS manipulation had sparked much controversies in the ongoing results collation process at the INEC National Collation centre Abuja.
