Kitoye Branco-Rhodes, a former gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, also known as ‘Lagos Big Boy’, has reportedly died of Covid-19 complications.
Branco-Rhodes reportedly passed on Friday night after all medical interventions proved abortive. His demise came few months after his sister Simi, was reported to have died from the same Covid-19 complications.
Branco-Rhodes was born on 27th of April, 1963, by late Chief Olayinka Rhodes, the Baamofin of Lagos and Baagbimo of Ile-Ife and Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Abimbola Rhodes, a former Iyalode of Lagos.
Branco-Rhodes was a businessman, energy expert and economist. He contested in the 2003 gubernatorial elections in Lagos under the Nigerian Advance Party (NAP) founded by his father-in-law and late legal luminary, Tunji Braithwaite.
Branco-Rhodes is survived by his wife, Laolu Branco-Rhodes and 6 children.
