…Akinwonmi Presides Over NWC

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Senate Presidents David Mark and Pius Ayim have stormed the meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).

The meeting of the BoT is currently holding at the party’s National Executive Committee Hall.

Also present at the meeting are former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi (retd), former Niger State Governor, who is also the Chairman of the ex-PDP Governors Forum, Babangida Aliyu, former Minister of Defence, Bello Haliru, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi, among others.

Similarly, the party’s National Working Committee is also holding a separate meeting at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja.

The meeting is being presided over by the Deputy National Chairman (South), Yemi Akinwonmi, despite the emergence of two acting national chairmen.

Recall the two Deputy National Chairmen of the party, Akinwonmi (South) and Senator Suleiman Nazif (North), had both separately declared themselves as the party’s acting National Chairman, after the suspension of the embattled Uche Secondus as the National Chairman.
