Ademola Adeleke has officially taken the oath of office, thereby becoming the sixth executive governor of Osun state.

Also, his deputy, Kola Adewusi, has taken the oath of office and allegiance.

The oaths were administered on both men by the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, at a well attended event.

The oath was administered at about 11:50 am, Sunday, November 27, 2022 before a mammoth crowd of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members, supporters and guests from all walks of life present at the Osogbo City stadium.

Present at the the event are the presidential candidate of the PDP Atiku Abubakar, vice presidential candidate of the party, Ifeanyi Okowa; the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom.

Also present were, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

It would be recalled that Adeleke was declared the winner of the Saturday, July 16 poll, garnering 403, 371 votes to defeat Mr Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 375, 027 votes.
