Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has said, he did not authorised any group to purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms in his name.

A statement issued by the Media Adviser to the former President, Ikechukwu Eze, on Monday night, said, Jonathan was not aware and has not in any way, committed himself to this request.

According to Eze, Jonathan appreciates the overwhelming request by a cross-section of Nigerians, urging him to run for the office of the Presidency in 2023.

“We thank the general public for their concern, as we continue to encourage citizen participation in the affairs of the country”. he said.

A northern group, on Monday, picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms on behalf of Jonathan at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja.
