Jigawa state government says it is not among the states that have received bailout loan from the federal government for the payment of workers’ salaries.

The Commissioner of Finance and Economic Planning, Alhaji Umar Namadi, disclosed this on a Radio Jigawa special programme at the weekend, saying the state government has cut the cost of running government activities.
He said government expenditure has been cut from N2.8 billion inherited from the previous administration to N1.3 billion.

Namadi stated that the state government received bailout for infrastructural development, not payment of salaries.
