After one month of war, Israel’s military reported that it is now operating in the interior areas of Gaza City following the encirclement of the northern part of the besieged Palestinian territory.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on television that Israel will have inclusive security authority in Gaza for an unspecified length of time after the war with Hamas.
His remarks give the most obvious sign yet that Israel plans to keep grip over the land which is inhabited by roughly 2.3 million Palestinians.
It’s estimated that hundreds of thousands of people are still in the way of the attack in the north.
On Tuesday, Palestinians in Gaza City escaped to the south, holding their arms in the air and holding white flags to get by the Israeli tanks.
They had nothing but the things they were wearing when they traveled on donkeys, foot, and wheelchairs, appearing exhausted and overwhelmed.
According to the Health Ministry of Hamas in Gaza, on Tuesday, the fatalities from the war have surpassed 10,300 – with a majority of them, among which more than 4,200 are children.
Saudi Arabia Convenes Summits:
On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister announced that the nation would be hosting summits of Arab and Islamic nations in the days ahead to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Etemadonline news has reported that President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran will be making his first journey to Saudi Arabia as its head of state since the deal brokered by China in March, allowing Tehran and Riyadh to end years of animosity.
The purpose of the trip is to attend a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation summit which takes place Sunday.
“The objective of bringing these summits and other gatherings under the leadership of Saudi Arabia would be to drive towards peaceful resolution of the conflict,” said Saudi investment minister Khalid Al-Falih, at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore.
