The Yoruba groups, also constituted a group named Irorun Ile Kaaro Oojire, assigned the duties of coordinating all affairs relating to the fortification and sanctification of Yorubaland through synergy among all Yoruba traditional and spiritual leaders.

The stakeholders noted that the need to rid Yorubaland of all bad elements causing insecurity made it imperative to engage in spiritual prayers.

The statement reads: “Traditional efficacy of our ancient powers and sophisticated methodology and concerted approach in fighting crimes and criminality in our society, unfortunately mostly jettisoned or abandoned by our Traditional Religious leaders and other Yoruba stakeholders for many years, but for necessity of the current spate of kidnappings and merciless killings, terrorist attacks and daily cases of cultism, prostitution, robbery and other wanton crimes, which has now gotten to the appalling height of embarrassments and highest crescendo of disgrace that criminals now invade Palace to kidnap and maim innocent lives.

“In a bid to revive and promote the Yoruba socio-cultural affinity and reconnect with our roots on security management, adequate welfare and robust unity among our people in Yorubaland and by extension Nigeria at large, led leaders of various Traditional and Spiritual groups to Ile-Ife on Saturday 27th November, 2021 under the global supremacy of His Divine Grace, Oba (Isoro) O.O.O. Dada, Obalesun Obatala Agbaye, Arole Obatala Agbaye, who played host to Yoruba leaders to navigate a positive path on the need to convoke an Emergency Security Summit held at the Obatala Temple, Igbo Tapa, Ile-Ife where all matters of security and welfare was critically examined for all possible solutions, in view of the protracted state of insecurity facing the Southwestern parts of Nigeria, which is fast becoming a normal daily routine news of serial killings, money rituals, ethnic bigotry, kidnappings to mention a few, claiming lives and properties of our people.

“Various opinions were raced by leaders of thought on the need to build a common synergy among all Yoruba traditional and other religious faith leaders so as to jointly curb the excesses of criminals in Yorubaland, perpetrating the establishment of a special coordinating security group named; “Irorun Ile Kaaro Oojire”, which shall henceforth, manage and coordinate all affairs relating to the fortifications and sanctification of Yorubaland (F’olumo) through concerted synergy among all Yoruba traditional and spiritual leaders.”
