The Supreme Court while delivering its judgement ordered that Uzodinma be given his Certificate of Return immediately. However, 15 hours since this judgement was made INEC is yet to compile with the order.

Giving their reason as to why it was yet to issue the certificate, INEC through it Chief Press Secretary, Rotimi Oyekanmi told Journalists that the commission is yet to be served with the order of the Supreme Court.

He said, “ Dear Colleagues, please be informed that the commission is yet to served with the enrolled order of the Supreme Court judgement.

“Therefore, we cannot issue the Certificate of Return to the APC candidate yet. However, once the commission receives the enrolled order, the CoR will be issued.”
