The New Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Special Operations Command (SOC) Bauchi, Air Vice Marshal Sadique Ismaila kaita, has taken over the mantle of leadership as the 3rd Air Officer Commanding Special Operation Command.

In a colourful handing and taking over ceremony held at the Command Headquarters Bauchi, the new AOC promised to continue to build on the legacies left behind by his predecessor, Air Vice Marshal Sani Ahmed, who has been redeployed to headquarters Nigerian Air Force (NAF) as the Director of Policy.

AVM Kaita stated that under his watch as the AOC, he will continue to maintain and sustain the achievements of his predecessor. He solicited for cooperation and support from the Commanders and Principal Staff Officers to continue to do their best to move the NAF to an enviable height in line with the vision of the Chief of the Air Staff.

AVM Kaita has held several appointments in the NAF. The last 2 appointments being Commander 101 Presidential Air Fleet and the Director of Manuals at the Headquarters Nigerian Air Force.

While fielding questions from media, the outgoing AOC, AVM Sani Ahmed, noted that the Command achieved a lot in terms of maintenance of civil-military relations as well as in the area of human capacity development. He thanked members of the media and the entire officers, airmen and airwomen of SOC for their support and urged them to extend same to his successor.
