The acient town of Imasayi located in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun state is set for the coronation of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Oba (Rtn) Kuoye Lukman Olalekan Adeleke, Fcim., Ilufemiloye, Oyesokun V, as the Olu of Imasayi Kingdom.

The coronation ceremony has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at the Oluaso High School Playing Ground in the town.

Expected at the event is the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Dapo Abiodun. Other top dignitaries to grace the occasion include the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and his erstwhile deputy, Alhaja Salmat Badru, the members of the State Executive Council members and key players in the private sectors.

Prince Kuoye who is from Oyesokun Ruling House emerged as the crowned Prince following the completion of a selection process conducted by the traditional chiefs under the strict supervision of officials of Yewa North Local Government officials in Ayetoro in March 2021.

Since the approval, the  Hon. Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Ogun State, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, on August 26, 2021 also presented the staff of office and instruments to Prince Kuoye.

Until his selection to the stool of his forefathers, Prince Kuoye worked with National Identity Management Commission, NIMC.

He had also served as Special Assistant to Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State and was also a former Secretary and Vice-Chairman, Transition Committee of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
