The governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has suspended his Chief of Staff(CoS) Anthony Agbazuere, from office until further notice.

The governor’s action  reportedly stems from inappropriate behaviour by the CoS who was caught on a trending Podcast  spraying money in his office on Odumeje, a local man popularly called ‘Indaboski’.

In the podcast which has gone viral  online, Agbazuere  was caught on camera spraying naira notes on a dancing Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, better known as Odumeje, a very controversial Onitsha-based clergyman.

The designated date the podcast was recorded  is  unclear. However, those familiar with the development said the incident seems to have taken place in Agbazuere’s office not long ago.

In a statement debarring him from functioning as CoS, Governor ikpeazu through  Chris Ezem, secretary to the state government of Abia state, announced that the CoS has been suspended with immediate effect.

”Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere,” the statement said.
