Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike today secured a 1-0 victory for Leicester City against Southampton marching the club into their first FA Cup final since 1969.

The Nigerian’s staggering run of form continued as he made it ten goals in his last seven matches to book the Foxes a spot in the final against Chelsea next month.

Leicester opened the scoring in the 55th minute when Jamie Vardy’s movement on the flank left Jan Bednarek trailing in his wake, with the veteran crossing for Iheanacho to fire a dreadful shot.

Though the ball bounced kindly off Vestergaard, Iheanacho made no mistake with the rebound.

Southampton tried their best to find an equaliser but found the Foxes’ defence too resolute to breach.
