Popular O’odua activist, Sunday Adeyemo otherwise known as Igboho has said he won’t honour any interview invitations from the media henceforth, over a report which misquoted him.
A report about Igboho calling for civil war has been trending in the media space, forcing him to clear the air as he said the fight against insecurity is paramount to him.
Igboho made this announcement in a short viral video, where he also introduced his spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, who will henceforth, speak on his behalf.
In his words, “This fight is not about civil war, it is about the killer herdsmen who are killing our people. I have been seeing fake news flying here and there, some said I’m not scared of civil war, any news that you see henceforth that is not from Koiki don’t believe it. Anything Koiki says about me is true because we sleep and wake up together every day.”
In recent weeks, Igboho has been in the news over the 7-day ultimatum he gave to the Fulani herders in Ibarapa area of Oyo State, and subsequently honouring his ultimatum by storming the area, at the expiration of the quit notice.
Igboho has since become a limelight figure for his activism in ending insecurity situations allegedly caused by the Fulani herders.
