Ibidun (nee Ajayi), wife of Nigerian pastor, Ituah Ighodalo of Trinity House Church and a former beauty queen has been laid to rest.

The former event planner reportedly lost her life to cardiac arrest on June 14, while she was in Port Harcourt at the age of 39.

Tears and emotions flowed as Ibidunni was buried on Saturday afternoon at the Vaults and Gardens cemetery in Lagos state.

Videos from her burial which held on Saturday, in Lagos have been making the rounds on social media.

In one of the videos, pall bearers were seen carrying the casket where Ibidunni lay into the waiting hearse. A solemn tune was also played as people looked on sadly.

The deceased’s husband, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo was also seen decked in black while gently walking near the pallbearers.

Loved ones and well-wishers were also present at the burial as attendees wore face masks and face shields, adhering to the social distancing protocols.

The Funeral Service was aired live via the church’s social media platforms and was attended by top Nigerian officials such as Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Also present was Pastor Idowu Oluyomade, Personal Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

The former beauty queen who had planned to help 40 couples welcome children to their homes for her 40th birthday could not fulfill that mission before she breathed her last. She would have clocked 40 on July 2020.

Every day, we live life like tomorrow is promised. However, death is an inevitable thing that every soul must face and no one knows when their time will come.
