Ace entertainment entrepreneur, and media mogul, Mosunmola Abudu also known as Mo Abudu has announced that her company, Ebonylife Studios has secured rights to produce an action thriller on the recent escapades of the internet fraud kingpin Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi.

The film producer who took to her official Instagram page disclosed that the upcoming project was inspired by a Bloomberg article titled “The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master”, by Evan Ratliff.
The article which was published a month ago tracked hushpuppi’s life, from his beginnings in Nigeria up until the alleged multi-million dollar scams he masterminded unravelled on the global stage.

Speaking on the production, Abudu stated that her team would be working with U.S.-based filmmakers Will Packer Productions and Universal Pictures.

She noted that Will Packer has produced several hit blockbuster movies like “Girls Trip”, “Think Like A Man Too”, “Obsessed”, “Stomp The Yard” and “Ride Along” to name a few.

The post reads, ‘‘When the Hushpuppi story made headlines last year, I pitched the story idea to @willpowerpacker and James Lopez,” Mo Abudu wrote in an Instagram post announcing the project. “They bought the idea and as headlined in this press release, together we won the rights to the Bloomberg article by Evan Ratliff mentioned above.”

Recall that Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in June 2020 and subsequently extradited to the United States where he has been facing charges on fraud allegations in Central California.
