Mrs. Hadiza El-Rufai, Wife of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has said her husband will not pay ransom if she is kidnapped.

The First Lady disclosed this on her verified twitter handle when she visited her farm.

Her tweet reads, “At my farm today. Anyone thinking of ** I should not bother. The man has already warned me that he will not pay any ******,” she tweeted, preferring to have the words ‘kidnapping’ and ‘ransom’ in asterisks.

Recall that Kaduna State has been enmeshed in attacks on communities by bandits and kidnapping of students for ransom.

Over 39 students abducted at the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State in early March have not been released.

Just recently, Mr. Ibrahim Shamaki, father of one of the yet to be released students of College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Fatima Shamaki died.

Reports of his death, according to family sources, said that late Shamaki died of a heart attack after he fell ill shortly after the news of his daughter’s abduction was broken to him.

Also, a busload of some members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was on Friday evening kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Kaduna State.

The victims who were members of RCCG Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna, were reportedly kidnapped while on their way to Kachia in preparation for the church’s ‘Let’s Go Fishing’ Easter programme.
