Lagos State witnessed a huge turnout of supporters of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), as the campaign train of its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu hit the state.

Large supporters of the Party trooped to the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere where the campaign rally was held.

The supporters could be seen displaying different banners displaying the names and images of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

Banners that also bore the face of the APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, were displayed at the campaign venue.

Several chieftains of the party including the presidential candidate himself, Sanwo-Olu and members of the APC National Working Committee, NWC, and Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, governors of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun; Kogi State, Yahaya Bello; Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq: Plateau State, Simon Lalong; Katsina State, Aminu Masari among others joined in the rally.

Addressing the supporters, Sanwo-Olu described Tinubu as the architect of modern Lagos.

He said, “Thank you, Asiwaju, for being the architect and builder of the modern Lagos that we’re all enjoying today, for having the vision, the character, the tenacity to push forth an idea into a plan that has birthed the new Lagos today.

Asiwaju has had a reputation as an advocate, a champion of unity, and a man who as continued to stand for the creation of our country.

“We can see this, of course, from all of the outstanding things that he has been doing both on a professional level and within his political career.

“His reputation stands tall amongst his peers and we will continue to derive from his wealth of experience in Lagos in the past 23 years.”
