Gunmen have razed the Magistrate Court in Ubulu, Oru-West Local Government Area of Imo State on Monday with petrol bombs, according to reports.

The fire which began in the early hours affected the entire court building as the attackers were reported to have stormed the building in their large numbers to carry out the attack.

The incident was confirmed by the Interim Management Committee chairman of Oru-west LGA of Imo State, Hon. Willie Okolieogwo.

The council boss who expressed displeasure over the attack noted that even though the court was completely razed by the hoodlums, there are no casualties recorded.

The Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, chairman in Imo State, Okolie ogwo expressed shock that the unknown gunmen are still on the prowl despite the efforts so far made by the government of Imo State to check criminal activities.

“The government of Senator Hope Uzodinma is not relenting in proffering lasting solution to the issue of insecurity in our state. We are on top of the situation,” he claimed.
