For many, including family members, loved ones, friends, associates, allies and members of Okwagbe community in Ughelli South Local government Area of Delta State, the day will remain evergreen in their minds as the community witnessed a grand farewell ceremony of late Mrs Queen Djebah, a devoted mother, a beloved sister, community leader, and a compassionate grandmother who was laid to rest in a befitting way.

This follows the conduction of grand burial rites to honour the memory of their late matriarch, Mrs Queen Djebah.

Mrs Queen Djebah, a cherished mother, community pillar, and a beacon of love, passed away at the age of 71 years after a life filled with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to her family, neighbours and community.

The burial proceedings began with Carrying Of Firewood and Service of Songs events at Djebah Bagun family Compound at Imigbu Quarter, Okwagbe, Delta state on February 27, 2025.

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the funeral service was accordingly held at the Djebah Bagun Family Compound Imigbu Quarters, Okwagbe, Delta State in a very befitting style which would remain evergreen in the minds of many for a long time. The programme was well organized in accordance with the arrangements put in place by the family.

The reception was held swiftly at Okwagbe Secondary School Field, where the family of the late Queen Djebah organized Free Medical Eye Checks and distribution of Free Reading Glasses and Eye drops for minor Eye Ailments like Blepharitis and conjunctivitis.

The burial rite was concluded on Saturday, with an Outing Services/Thanksgiving, which was held at the St Patrick’s Catholic Church Okwagbe, Delta state. The late Matriarch’s children are Dr Bright Djebah, a medical doctor, Mr Lucky Djebah, an investment and financial advisory executive, Mrs Blessing Rewane and Mrs Ejiro Akoreh
