Barely a week after the brutal killing of a 29-year-old Deltan celebrating his birthday at Obinoba Community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, a doorman security, aka bouncer, has stabbed to death a teenager who was alleged to have attempted to pick up some naira notes sprayed at a couple during their wedding reception which took place at popular hotel in Mofor Community of Udu Local Government Area of the State.

The New Diplomat learnt that the deceased teenager, Oghenemaro Eriana, who was a neigbour of the newly-wedded couple, was stabbed to death by a hired bouncer at the ceremony, Mr. Francis Utuedor, for allegedly attempting to pick up the sprayed naira notes on the floor at the reception.

It was not clear if late Oghenemaro Eriana was attempting to pick the money for himself or helping the couple in the process since he is a neighbour of the celebrants.

A very reliable source told our correspondent that late Eriana who went to the ceremony with his mother lived along Kolokolo Street in Udu Road area of the Council, adding that the mother just lost an elder brother of the deceased two months ago.

The Delta State Police Command PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe reportedly confirmed the incident when contacted, adding that investigation had since commenced.

It would be recalled that a Delta man simply named, Gift was celebrating his birthday in Obinoba Community when Police stormed the venue on the pretext of looking for cultists and in the process shot the celebrating young man dead.

It was learnt that the Police allegedly took the deceased to the hospital but died before he could be attended to.
